Abstract
128,510. Specialities (Leather), Ltd., Smith, W. H., and Haden, G. H. Jan. 11, 1919. Wallets.-A case or wallet for cigarettes, cigars and other articles comprises a pair of open-topped pockets 1, Fig. 2, formed from two lengths a, b, Fig. 3, of leather or other material sewn together with a piece 3 of stiffening material between them. The pockets are sewn together and to an outer cover 7 by stitches 4, and the cover is adapted to fold over the tops of the pockets and to be secured by a fastening 9. The middle portion of the top edge of each pocket is cut away to expose the ends of the cigarettes &c., and the cover is provided with a piece of stiffening-material d of cardboard or thin metal plates, so that when the case is opened the members 3, d cause the pockets and cover to spring apart automatically and facilitate access to the cigarettes &c. The pockets are preferably distended by metal members 10, 11. Additional pockets, preferably located upon the inside of the cover, may be provided for cards, Treasury notes or the like.
