1283550 Cutting foodstuffs A BERDRIN 8 Oct 1969 49507/69 Heading A4C [Also in Division A1] An agricultural machine for cutting or pulping rejectable matter comprises a casing 1 and two rotating vertical shafts on which are mounted two cylindrical supports 10, 12 to which are attached via blade supports 14 radially projecting horizontal or slightly curved blades 13 arranged in a helical pattern. Fixed barriers 3, 6 containing horizontal slots through which the blades pass retain the material being cut or pulped. In the pulping mode the blades 13 are arranged in different horizontal planes and only one blade passes through each barrier slot. In the cutting mode blades are mounted at ground level on the same level and all pass through the bottom slots of barriers 3, 6.
