Abstract

1283027 Knitting machines V SETTON 19 April 1971 [18 Feb 1970] 7891/70 Heading D1C In a compound knitting needle e.g. for a circular or V-bed knitting machine, the hook and shutter elements 1, 2 are formed by two relatively slidable blades 3, 7 and are actuated individually by a cam track. Blade 3 has a flange 4a engaging one edge of blade 7. As shown, the blades carry butts 6, 10 engaging cam tracks 12, 13. The closure 9 may be bent round and shaped like the latch of a latch needle.
