Abstract
1281832 Papermaking FELDMUHLE ANLAGEN UND PRODUKTIONS GmbH 15 July 1969 [15 July 1968] 35575/69 Heading D2A Fibrous material is dispersed in water and fed to the pulp delivery of a papermaking machine, the dispersion being affected by a perforated hollow cylinder, the perforations 4 increasing in width from the inner to the outer surface of the cylinder wall, and there is created in the water, close to the inner surface of the wall, alternate impulses of pressure and suction causing the individual fibres to pass through the openings 4. This may be effected, as shown, by a rotating framework carrying slats at the end of radially extending arms, the slats extending parallel with the axis of the cylinder, and having an aerofoil crosssection. The perforations 4 may be circular or slot-shaped.
