Abstract

1281757 Delivering sheets Y FUJISHIRO 11 Aug 1969 40084/69 Heading B8R Folded printed sheets 14, Figs. 3, 5 and 6, are delivered from conveyers 13, 13<SP>1</SP> to a stacking passage 7 defined by a turn-table 10 and end walls 8, 9. Side members 21 reciprocable under the control of a sheet counter support an interruption plate 15, a relay plate 16 and a makeup plate 17, each plate being in three sections passing between vertical sections of the walls 8, 9. The plate 15 is pivotally movable under the control of a cam 32 which is swingable by an electromagnet 37 actuated by the counter. With the plates 15, 17 in the passage and the plate 15 swung upwards, sheets collect on the plate 17, Fig. 6. When a predetermined number of sheets have been counted, the plate 15 is swung down to interrupt the stream so that sheets collect on the plate 15, Fig. 3. The plate 15 is then further lowered to be aligned with the plate 16, and the members 21 are moved to the left, the wall 9 stripping the bundle from the plate 17 to drop on to previous bundles below and transferring the sheets from the plate 15 to the plate 16, Fig. 5. On moving the members to the right, the wall 8 transfers the sheets from the plate 16 to the plate 17, Fig. 6. The turntable rotates 180 degrees between bundles.
