Abstract

1279755 Disazo dyes FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 12 Oct 1970 [17 Oct 1969] 48463/70 Heading C4P [Also in Division G2] Cyan dyes for use in a colour-photographic light-sensitive material have the formula wherein the nitro group is meta or para to the acylamino bridge. The dyes are produced conventionally by diazotizing 4-nitro-2,5-dimethoxy aniline and coupling with an H-acid derivative, reducing the nitro group and diazotizing the resulting amine and coupling with an H-acid derivative to give the disazo compound. The dyes are incorporated in silver halide photographic emulsions for use in silver dye bleaching processes.
