Abstract

1278468 Vehicle windows DR ING HCF PORSCHE KG 24 Oct 1969 [11 Dec 1968] 52208/69 Heading E2M A vehicle window guide mechanism comprises a rail mountable on the vehicle and having a guide track, and guide members mountable on the vehicle window and being guidable by the track. The guide members each have spring elements which when separated, as by the window or its edge strip, act perpendicular to guide surfaces of the track, when the guide member is positioned to be guided by the track, to urge the guide member into contact with the guide surfaces. The mechanism shown includes a rail 6 and two guide members 8. Each guide member comprises a spindle 21, secured in edge strip 23 of movable window 7, and rollers 15, 15' urged into contact with guide surfaces 17, 19 of rail 6 by plate springs 26 accommodated in recesses in the rollers.
