Pocket and like umbrellas, covers; top-nolches; open-caps; sticks.-Relates to umbrellas which can be readily taken apart and the parts re-assembled, and particularly to umbrellas in which the stick is made in sections, the ribs, stretchers, and top-notch are detachable from the stick, and the cover is detachable from the ribs. The stick is made in two sections, the. lower section 1 being attached to the upper section 2 by a sleeve 3, Fig. 3, having a hole 4 which is engaged by a spring catch 7 carried by a reduced part 6 of u sleeve 5 fitted on the end of the upper section 2. The top-notch 9 is slidable on the stick section 2 and is attached thereto by engaging a flanged sleeve 18, 19 fixed to the stick and provided with diametrically-opposed lugs 11 which enter recesses in the top-notch. The notch is held in its raised position by a sliding collar 13 carrying hooks 12 which engage under the notch, as shown in Fig. 11. The cover 14 is provided with a number of spring clasps 25 constructed as shown in Fig. 9, which snap on to the ribs. The cover is also provided with sockets 26 which engage the points of the ribs, parts 27 being cut away as shown in Fig. 8. The centre part of the cover is fixed in position by a sliding flaring collar 15, which is provided with spring catches 16 which enter inclined recesses in the collar 13 and snap underneath same when pushed home.
