Abstract

1276602 Tubular-point pens H RIEPE and K H DITZE [trading as RIEPE-WERK] 10 Aug 1970 [28 Oct 1969] 38527/70 Heading B6P A writing point for a tubular point pen comprises a cylindrical body 2 housing a drop weight 4 carrying a hair wire, the body 2 having an extension 3 provided with one or more inwardlydirected claws 9, 9<SP>1</SP> which engage an enlarged head 20 on the weight 4 to prevent the weight from falling out of the part 2. The weight may be inserted in or removed from the part 2 by pressing the jaws apart, the insertion being facilitated by a chamfered part 21 joining the head 20 to the main part of the weight. Axial grooves may be provided in the head 20 to permit withdrawal of the weight through the jaws 9, 9<SP>1</SP>. A bore 16 in the body 2 communicates with a helical ventilation duct. The tubular point may be injection moulded plastics, and the weight 4 of the same material, or metal, or hollow with a metal core, or a plastics coated metal.
