Abstract

1275701 Photographic anti-foggants. FILMFABRIK WOLFEN VEB 25 Feb 1970 9016/70 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] Fog in developed photographic silver halide materials is reduced by incorporating in the silver halide emulsion or in the silver halide developer a stabilizer of the general formula:- in which R 1 and R 2 each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom or NH 4 , and are the same or different. Concentration is in the range 2-1000 mg per mol of silver halide or per litre of developer. Compounds of the above formula are preferably added to the emulsion subsequent to sensitizing and preferably with a triazaindolizine stabilizer.
