Abstract

1,272,374. Bi-stable electromagnet relays. SIEMENS A.G. 4 Jan., 1971 [29 Jan., 1970], No. 252/71. Heading H1N. A polarized bi-stable relay has its permanent magnet 12 shunted by a member 14 of a material which changes its magnetic characteristics with increase of temperature, at least above ‹ C., to compensate for the reduction in the field strength of the permanent magnet due to the same temperature increase. The relay has its armature 6 mounted on a spring 7 in a sealed chamber formed by a magnetic member 2 and cover 4 on which the spring 7 is mounted. The member 2 is insulated from the permanent magnet by a foil 15.
