Abstract
1,269,537. Candle holder. I. SAKLOW. 20 Nov., 1970 [22 Aug., 1969], No. 41966/69 Heading F4T. In a candle holder, a tubular member 10 has a fully open lower end fitted to a detachable base member 11 and an upper end 12 which is partially closed to provide an aperture 13 large enough to permit the wick X<SP>1</SP> of a candle X to project therethrough with clearance and a helical compression spring 14 located within tubular member 10 co-operating with base member 11 and candle X. The base member 11 has its lower end 16 adapted to engage the candle receiving socket of a candlestick or candelabra. A pressure plate or disc 17 may be provided at the upper end of spring 14 and base member 11 may be formed with a drip catching flange 18. The tubular member 10 may be constructed and coloured to resemble a candle.
