Abstract

1,269,443. Cutters. L. A. MORTENSEN. 10 June, 1970 [12 June, 1969], No. 28135/70. Heading B3C. [Also in Division F2] A counterbore cutter 10 comprises an elongate body 11 adapted to be received in a bored hole 18 in a wall or plate, and having at one end a sheet metal flange 12 provided with staggered teeth 14 or other rasping means, the cutter being turned by a tool 19. As shown the teeth 14 are formed by a square section punch, and the flange 12 has holes 16 engageable by bosses 23 of the tool 19. In a modification, the guide boss 21 of the tool 19 has screw-threaded engagement in the body 11. The leading end of the body 11 may have teeth to cut the main bore 18. The cutter 10 forms an anchor nut or bolt which is left in the wall.
