Abstract
1,262,016. Transistor pulse and switching circuits. ELECTRIC POWER STORAGE Ltd. 24 Sept., 1970 [3 Oct., 1969], No. 48670/69. Heading H3T. [Also in Divisions G1 and G4] Two oppositely wound coils 33, 34, Fig. 1, of a relay are arranged in the collector circuit of a long-tailed pair 10, Fig. 1, so that if the inputs 11, 12 to the long-tailed pair differ, in either direction, by more than an amount pre-determined by the parameters of the long-tailed pair, a contact 34 will close to energize a warning lamp 38. The duration for which the lamp 38 is energized may be determined by connecting an oscillator, comprising a uni-junction transistor 70, Fig. 2, and an RC circuit 65, across it, and counting the number of cycles of oscillation by arranging that each cycle triggers a thyristor 72 to energize a relay 73, 74, and increment a counter 75 by unity.
