Abstract

1,259,817. Wrappers. H. BECK. 30 Sept., 1969 [2 Oct., 1968], No. 47951/69. Heading B8C. A wrapper comprises superposed transparent plastics foils welded at seams 22, 32, 34 to form an envelope enclosing goods 30 and projecting beyond the seam 32 to a further welded seam 24, and a further foil 18 welded to the superposed foils at the seams 24, 32 and forming a flap 36 which overlies a slit or line of perforations 42 in the envelope. The seam 32 is such as to facilitate tearing therealong. The wrapper is formed from webs 14, 16 and 20, excess material being severed from the foils by the seams 22, 24 and the seams .34 being such that the wrappers are loosely interconnected. Alternatively the superposed foils may be a single foil which is longitudinally folded, the seam 22 thus being omitted.
