Abstract

1,259,278. Feeding sheets. H. N. BUSH. 1 April, 1969 [11 April, 1968], No. 17455/68. Heading B8R. The bottom sheet of a pile N, Fig. 2, is lowered at its front edge by a pivoted suction plate 2, Figs. 1 and 2, and drawn by a single centrally located pair of grippers 10, 11 operating between and below two inner abutments 8 below the said abutments and two outer stops 9 attached to the pile front guide plate 7 so as to be registered, and thence to the nip of feed rollers 5, 6 and to a stop-press printing-machine. The sheet is aligned against the abutments 8 while being lowered by the plate 2, being urged forwards by friction as a previous sheet is drawn forwards by the grippers.
