Abstract
1,257,837. Automatic gain control. BOFORS AB. 13 March, 1969 [26 March, 1968], No. 13401/69. Heading H4R. [Also in Division G1] A gain-control circuit for an amplifier 3 is shown in Fig. 2 where the drain source impedance of a field-effect transistor 8 forms part of a voltage divider including resistors 6, 7. The output voltage across the resistor 11 is controlled by the signal applied from the line 9 to the gate terminal The signal to be controlled is fed in on a line 5 and out on one 10. Fig. 3 shows a typical gain-control characteristic where F is gain. Alternatively the characteristic may be linear. The circuit is utilized in a pressure-sensor (see Division G1).
