Abstract

1,257,247. Chlorinated rubber-polyamide resin reaction product. KOPPERS CO. Inc. 10 Nov., 1969 [19 Dec., 1968], No. 54981/69. Headings C3E and C3R. A reaction product is obtained by heating at a temperature of up to 120‹ C. a mixture of 50-95 parts by weight of chlorinated rubber and correspondingly 50 to 5 parts by weight of a fatty polyamide resin. The fatty polyamide resin can be derived from a polymeric fatty acid and an aliphatic polyamine. The two reactants can be mixed and reacted in a solvent or the mixture can be coated on a surface and the reaction carried out in situ.
