Abstract
1,251,738. Loading and unloading vehicles. C. L. HUNT. 16 Dec., 1969, No. 61196/69. Heading B8E. A van for cargo is provided with partitions 24 which may be anchored to conveyer belts 30 to form compartments 37, 38. A forward compartment 42 includes a belt 40 alongside a cab 12 and is normally closed by an overhead door 48. A similar door 20 closes the rear of the van. To enable cargo to be moved from one compartment to the next the partitions 24 may be removed or pivotally raised. The belts can be moved in either direction and are constructed of a material to facilitate easy lateral movement of cargo. A driver, has control of power means to operate the belts individually or in unison for loading or unloading at either the front or rear of the van.
