In a nuclear reactor power plant, the gases supplied to the turbine T1 from the reactor R are heated in the exchanger H by the external burner B. Air for the combustion of the fuel from source S is supplied through the compressor C2 driven by turbine T2 supplied with the combustion products in H. In an alternative form, the reactor R and turbine T1 employ directly the combustion products of the auxiliary heating system. In this case, the turbine T2 is driven by hot gases bled from T1.
