Abstract
1,251,204. Castors. G. H. HUGHES Ltd. Feb.26, 1969 [March 28, 1968], No. 15081/68. Heading A4U. In a castor, particularly for an invalid carriage, a tubular mounting member 13 is welded to a metal frame member 11 of the carriage, and a bolt shank 17, passing through the member 13,is prevented from rotation relatively thereto by abutment of a flat 16a of the bolt head 16 with the member 11. The shank 17 is rotatable in an aperture 26 in the head 25 of a wheelfork and has a threaded part engaged by a selflocking nut 30, nylon bearing bushes 27, 28 being mounted in the fork head and ' having flanges 27a, 28a seating on a respective rim of the aperture 26 to form bearing washers.
