Abstract
1,251,086. Extensible bracelets. FABRIQUE LAMINOR. 20 Feb., 1969 [29 Feb., 1968], No. 9358/69. Heading A3H. An expanding metal bracelet comprises an upper row of links 1, 1', 1" joined in staggered relationship to a lower set 2, 2', 2" by flexible bails 3, 3' attached to the top links through slots and fitting into, and springing against, lugs in the bottom links. On expansion the members 5, 5' are distorted further from the plane of the bail and a restoring force is set up via return lug 7. In a modification Fig. 5, the bail 13 is attached to bottom link 12, and extends up into top link 10 in two flexible half links 15 and 15', which, when extended, restore the links by acting on the bottom of the top link through a recess 17.
