Abstract

1,249,454. Releasable fastenings. ETABS EUGENE SCHOLTES. 2 Feb., 1970 [7 Feb., 1969], No. 4823/70. Heading E2A. The manually operated fastening bolt 2 on the door 1 of a domestic oven is locked during thermal cleaning by an electromagnetically withdrawn detent-bolt 7 which is immobilised -by a thermally opened switch (not shown) while the oven is very hot. The bolt 7 is guided at the top of the oven by studs 9 and it is withdrawn by electromagnet 10 by means of rod 11 and bar 12, against spring 13. The clockwise fastening rotation of the bolt 2 moves lever 14 in the direction F2 Fig. 3 so that its other end 14b closes the contactor 16 to energise the oven heater or a .warning light on gas ovens.
