Abstract

1,032,458. Sliding bolts. STRATFORD EQUIPMENT CO. Ltd. Sept. 10, 1963, No. 35704/63. Addition to 1,032,457. Heading E2A. The safe door locking mechanism of the parent Specification is characterized by a further auxiliary bolt 24 supported against a spring bias 33 by a member 27 having a pin 28 which is held in a fusible plug 29 whereby if heat is applied to the safe door the plug melts and allows the spring to push the bolt 24 into locking engagement with an abutment 34 on the actuating bar 19 of the bolts 15.
