Abstract
1,246,126. Gas burners. AKRAMATIC ENG. CO. Ltd., and B. A. MONK. 8 Aug., 1969 [13 Aug., 1968], No. 38657/68. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises a chamber, adapted to receive gas or a gas/air mixture, and having a plurality of openings 4a defining gas ports 4 each comprising a pair of annular openings 5, 16 surrounding an air duct connected to an opening in the base 2 of the chamber. In Fig. 4, the duct is a tube 3 having an insert 15 of stepped diameter forming the annular opening 16 which communicates with the chamber via holes 17. In a modification, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown) the tube 3 has a collar (22) of stepped diameter forming an annular opening (20) communicating with the chamber via axial flutes (21) in the collar. The upper end of the collar (22) has a number of radial projections (23) to locate it centrally within the opening 4a.
