[Also in Divisions G1 and H1] A fluid flow meter comprises a fluid driven rotor 14 which either carries one or more magnets 16, Fig. 1, or drives a further member 44, Fig. 2, which carries one or more magnets 16, the arrangement being such that fluid flow causes the magnet(s) 16 to pass repeatedly adjacent a pair of normally open contacts 18À1, 18À2, to produce electrical pulses which may be counted to provide a measure of total fluid flow. The inlet 62 to the meter in Fig. 2 includes a filter 64.
