Abstract

124,565. Hollis, O. A. March 26, 1918. Slipping - preventing attachments to wheels; tyres, non-elastic.-The tyre of a vehicle wheel particularly applicable to agricultural tractors is built up of two series of hollow blocks 9, 10 of different widths having openings extending from the outer to the inner wheel periphery, and is fitted with extensible gripping tubes or members 16 capable of individual or collective radial adjustment. This adjustment may be effected bv revolving the tubes 16 on screw bolts 17 attached to the hub by bolts 18. The hollow blocks are clamped to the rim 8 by a pair of rings 11, 12 secured by bolts 13 and formed with wedges 14<a> engaging bevelled edges 14 on the blocks 9, 1C.
