1,244,426. Photographic development process. ILFORD Ltd. June 25, 1970 [June 26, 1969], No. 32425/69. Heading G2C. Exposed photographic silver halide materials are developed in the presence of an anti-foggant of the formula: - where X is S or Se, at least one of R 1 to R 4 is NO 2 and the remainder are each H, halogen, alkyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, mono or dialkylamino, acylamino or nitro. The anti-foggant may be present in the material, e.g. in the emulsion layer, or in the developer. The development may be effected at above 30‹ C. in a developer containing glutaraldelyde as hardener.
