An electric cooker comprises a self-cleaning electric oven 10 having a door 14 which includes a passage 28 for cooling air, the air being discharged from the cooker through an aperture 43 in a hot-plate 36. The door 14 includes air inlet and outlet slots or holes 29 and 30 respectively. (For Figure see next page.)
