Abstract

1,242,072. Electrostatic printing. AGFAGEVAERT A.G. 14 June, 1968 [15 June, 1967], No. 28550/68. Heading B6C. [Also in Divisions B8 and G2-G3] Copy sheets 10 are stripped from a xerographic drum 1 by neutralizing the attractive electrostatic charge imparted to the sheets during transfer of a developed image from the drum. The charge is neutralized by applying an opposite charge by means of a carrier device 14. An air blower nozzle 16 may assist stripping of the sheets. A lamp 12 uniformly illuminates the drum prior to cleaning, recharging, exposure and development. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,198,466.
