Abstract
1,238,913. Dyeing cellulosic materials with reactive dyes. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 12 Aug., 1968 [12 Aug., 1967], No. 38560/68. Heading D1B. Natural or regenerated fibrous cellulosic materials are dyed or printed in fast shades by treating in any sequence with a water-soluble dye of formula I and with an agent giving alkaline reaction, Z is a radical of a water-soluble organic dye, which may be substituted and which is linked to the grouping shown directly or via a bridge member, R is hydrogen or a C 1-6 alkyl group, R' and R" are each hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl or a phenyl group, m is 1 or 2. Conventional alkaline agents are employed and dye fixation is effected preferably by a heat treatment at 50-160‹C or by dwelling in air at 15-40‹C. Ex 14 specifies steaming, thermofixation at 140‹C or saturated aqueous potassium nitrate at 118‹C, Ex. 1 rotation in a roller at 18-25‹C, Ex 5 heating in dichlorobenzene at 140‹C.
