Abstract
1,235,802. Agglomerating pyrite ores. EMPRESA AUXILIAR DE LA INDUSTRIA S.A. 17 April, 1969 [23 April, 1968], No. 19787/69. Heading C1A. Fines of pyrite ores are agglomerated by moistening particles of the ore with an aqueous solution of ferrous sulphate, ferric sulphate or calcium chloride, or a mixture of such salts, and thereafter pelletizing the mixture and drying the obtained pellets. The ferrous and/or ferric solutions used have a concentration greater than 10% by weight and the calcium chloride solutions used have a concentration higher than 15% by weight. A solid finely divided product of clay character e.g. bentonite may also be added to the solution. The agglomeration of the fines may be carried out in the presence of fractions of larger size so that the fines cover the larger grains thus increasing the average size of the fraction.
