Abstract
1,231,977. Automatic temperature control systems. HOLZER-PATENT A. G. June 23, 1969 [June 21, 1968], No.31538/69. Heading G3R. In an automatic temperature control system either or both of a temperature sensor and/ or a trigger circuit controlling a heating device is fed with a voltage containing an A. C, component to reduce circuit differential between switch on and switch off conditions. The voltage may be pulsating D.C. e. g. rectified halfwave A. C. In Fig. 4 a sensor 2 controls through transistors 3, 6 a relay 7 having contacts (not shown) in series with a heating arrangement the circuit being fed with halfwave A. C. through a diode 9 and resistor 14. In Fig. 5 (not shown) the voltage across the sensor is smoothed by a capacitor (unreferenced) and in Fig. 6 (not shown) a periodically varying voltage is fed across a resistor (14) in series with sensor 2. One or more thyristors or triacs may be employed as the switching means. It is stated in the Specification that the circuit differential reduces as the frequency of the A. C. component increases.
