Abstract

1,230,589. Automatic viscosimeter. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. Aug. 1, 1968 LAug.11, 1967], No.36806/68. Heading G1S. A viscosimeter for giving automatic measurements of viscosities of high molecular weight substance solutions comprises a measuring capillary tube 7, Fig. 1, photo-electric liquid level cells 8, 9 connected to an electronic control device 26, a compensating tube 11 and a filling tube 36 leading to a flask 10 and communicating with tube 7, a source feeding a pipe 5 with low pressure air or nitrogen, and a storage tank 19, the viscosimeter comprising a programming device 27 controlling electromagnetic valves 1-4 serving for regulating both inlet and outlet of the air or nitrogen, and eventually the electromagnetic valve of a dosing device 18 inter-connected with an electronic control device 26 connected to photoelectric cells adapted to measure the flow time through a cell and connected also to a photoelectric cell of the device 18 and to a recorder 27. In Fig.3 (not shown) the dosing device 18 comprises an automatic electromagnetically controlled burette the valve (31) of which is operated by a coil 29 connected to the programming device 25.
