Abstract
1,228,788. Haymaking implements. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. 14 May, 1968 [16 May, 1967], No. 22940/68. Heading A1F. A haymaking implement comprises a mobile frame 1 and at least two adjacently mounted rake members 10, 11 that are supported on vertically adjustable non- swivelable ground wheels 8 and rotate about non-horizontal axes and another crop working member 18 having tines movable in substantially vertical planes and mounted so that it works the strip of ground between the rake members 10, 11. The rake members comprise rake wheels 10, 11 supported on ground wheels 8 and driven from the power take-off of the tractor via drive shaft 14, gearbox 3 and from there via shaft 15 to gearbox 2. The crop-working member consists of a tined drum 18 rotatably mounted at the end of leading arms 17 on shaft 19 which is parallel to the mobile frame 1. The drum 18 has two square plates 20 secured to opposite ends of shaft 19 with tine supports 21 extending parallel to shaft 19. The tine supports 21 may turn about their longitudinal axes and may be fixed in a chosen angular position by retaining member 22. Tines 23 are mounted on the tine supports and each end of the drum is surrounded by rings 24. Drive transmission from shaft 15 to the drum is made by two pulleys and a V-belt.
