Abstract
1,227,110. Electric storage heaters. ELECTRICITY COUNCIL and J. E. RANDELL. 16 March, 1970, No. 12435/70. Heading F4U. A thermal storage heater core 10 is heated by at least one electrical heating element comprising a resistance wire 13 helically wound around a cylindrical ceramic former 12 which is supported within a channel 11 of the core by electrically insulating spacers 14, 15 spaced apart along the length of the former. The channels may be of circular section or formed as V- shaped grooves in the upper surfaces of the blocks forming the core.
