Abstract

122,586. Mogensen M. P. July 11, 1918. Addition to 119,189. Pontoons.-A reinforced. concrete pontoon &c. built up of separate precast hexagonal, triangular, and quadrangular cells, as in the parent Specification, is provided with a central keel 17 which projects below the bottom of the cells. A row of higher cells 20 may be placed outside the lower cells so that one or more upper decks 21 may be supported above the deck 22 covering the lower cells. An inclined angular bilge may be provided by outer cels having inclined bottoms 24. Some of the cells may communicate with each other through holes near the botom for pumping out; these holes may be closed by watertight doors.
