Abstract

1,224,098. Lamps. COMPAGNIE DES LAMPES. 11 Sept., 1969 [18 Sept., 1968], No. 44853/69. Heading F4R. A lamp 15 is mounted between the outer ends of a pair of parallel suspension arms 7, 8 which are slidably and pivotally mounted on studs 9, 11 engaging respective slots 12, 13 in supports 1, 2, the inner ends of the arms being provided with opposed screw-threaded rods 18 of opposite pitches joined by an internally threaded hollow rod 17 and with asbestos washers 19 adapted to engage the flat surfaces of the supports 1, 2 so that the rod 17 can be rotated manually to clamp or release the lamp and can at the same time be used as a handle for adjusting the position of the lamp. The supports 1, 2, which are connected by transverse members 5, have holes 4 and lugs 3 by means of which they can be mounted in a projector housing, the holes 4 enabling the assembly to be pivoted in the housing to facilitate replacement of the lamp 15.
