Abstract

1,220,221. Diving equipment. H. J. MACKENNEY. 29 Jan., 1968 [31 Jan., 1967], No. 4716/67. Heading B7U. Diving equipment comprises an air source 1 connected to a regulator 3 supplying air for breathing, and also connected via a manual adaptor 5 to a life jacket 7 having pressure release means. The adaptor has an air conduit 12, 13, 22 which is controlled by valve member 19 and connected to a gauge 16. A pressure release valve on the jacket comprises tube 49 and spring-biased valve member 51 with holes 52. The jacket is inflated by a mouthpiece or adjustment of the adaptor. The mouthpiece may release air from the jacket, e.g. for breathing.
