Abstract

1,219,970. Printing machines. PLAMAG PLAUENER DRUCKMASCHINENWERK VEB. 14 Nov., 1968, No. 54013/68. Heading B6C. [Also in in Division F2] Cylinders of a printing machine are journalled in rolling bearings which are mounted within a bush 4 which comprises two sleeves 5, 6 shrunk on to one another, there being provided in the inner wall of the outer sleeve chambers 10 and 11 which may be charged with fluid under pressure to press the bush against the bore in the printing machine. The chambers are disposed at 120 degrees to each other and also at 120 degrees to the resultant of the forces acting on the cylinder. The pressure in the chamber is periodically briefly relieved and recharged so as to take up any play caused by vibration of the cylinders.
