Abstract
1,218,927. Alloy steels. ENGLISH STEEL CORP. Ltd. June 13, 1968 [June 29, 1967], No.30157/67. Heading C7A. A heat-resisting alloy steel consists, by weight, of:- C 0À21-0À35% Si # 0À35% Mn 0À39-1% Ni 0À4-1% Cr 0À7-1À4% Mo 0À5-1À5% V 0À2-0À6% Ti, Nb and/or Ta 0À03-0À15% total B 0À002-0À01% Co 0À5-3% Fe balance (apart from impurities and incidental constituents). P and S should each not exceed 0À04%. The steel may be austenitized at 950‹-1060‹C., hardened by cooling in air, steam, water-mist or oil, and tempered at 600‹ -700‹ C. It is useful for the manufacture of turbine components.
