Abstract

1,214,747. Valves. ST-WEST Inc. 14 Feb., 1968, No. 7288/68. Heading F2V. A valve disc 96 may be actuated manually by a hand wheel 128 which rotates a spirallyslotted plunger 102 in engagement with a fixed pin 152 and may also be a fluid actuated by a piston 132 connected to the plunger by a rod 120. The pin 152 is threaded into a skirt 106<SP>1</SP> and secures the latter to the sleeve and the plunger. A flexible stem 94 accommodates misalignment between the plunger and the disc.
