Abstract

1,212,401. Substituted thiocarbamates. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 7 March, 1968 [9 March, 1967], No. 11075/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises thiocarbamate derivatives of the formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> denotes an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical and R<SP>2</SP> denotes an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical which may optionally contain one or more halogen atoms and/or hydroxyl groups as substituents. These compounds are prepared by treating a carbamyl chloride of formula with a mercaptan of formula H-S-R<SP>2</SP>. The preparation of compounds in which R 1 is methyl, propyl, isopropyl and butyl, and R 2 is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, butyl isobutyl, hydroxyethyl, 2,3 - dichloroallyl and 2,3,3 - trichloroallyl is described.
