Abstract

1,211,145. Latches. WESTLAND ENGS. Ltd. 28 March, 1969 [20 May, 1968], No. 23884/68. Heading E2A. A hinged closure member 10 having one or more radius arm 12 as part of the operating mechanims comprises a latch bolt or bolts 15 projecting from a housing 14 attached to the closure member, and engageable with the radius arm or arms when the door is closed. The bolt is withdrawn by pulling a cable 18 attached to a lug on the bolt to allow the door to pivot to the open position. The cable is connected to a handle or the like provided with locking means.
