Abstract

121,030. Cooper, F. Feb. 1, 1918. Rotary brushes; brush stocks.-In a gun brush, the stock 5 is clamped directly on to a wooden stave 1 by means of wooden collars 3, 7, 8 screwing on to the end of the stave. The screwthreaded end of the stave is of slightly larger diameter than the rest of the stave, and the stock is preferably lined with a thin metal liner 6. The collar 3 is fixed to the stave by a cross-pin 4, the brush being removed, along with the collars 7, S, over the handle. The collars are protected by thin metal covers 9.
