Abstract
1,208,319. Ti-base alloys. IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) Ltd. Feb. 4, 1969 [Feb. 16, 1968; Aug. 26, 1968], Nos. 7776/68 and 40620/68. Heading C7A. Titanium-base alloys with good strength and resistance to embrittlement at high temperature as for use in aircraft engines, consist, apart from impurities, of: - Al 5 - 6À5% Mo 0À25 - 0À7% Si 0À05 - 0À4% and Zr 3 - 7% the balance being Ti. The alloys may be hot worked at 1050-1100‹ C., heated in the beta field at 1050‹ C., oil or air cooled, aged at 500-550‹ C. and then cooled in air.
