Abstract
1,207,736. Electrolytic capacitors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 13 March, 1969 [6 June, 1968], No. 26941/68. Heading H1M. A method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor having a sintered valve metal anode includes the step of depositing on the anodically formed oxide layer a layer of γ- manganese dioxide, i.e. #-manganese dioxide having a deficiency of oxygen atoms by pyrogsis of ammonium, cadmium, magnesium or zinc permangenate. The γ-managanese dioxide layer is covered by a layer of #-manganese dioxide by known methods prior to application of e.g. a graphite/silver layer.
