Abstract
1,163,394. Electrolytic capacitors. SIEMENS A.G. 8 Feb., 1968 [9 Feb., 1967], No. 6340/68. Heading H1M. [Also in Division C7] An electrolytic capacitor with metal electrodes or a capacitor in which a semi-conductor such as MnO 2 forms one electrode includes as an electrode a body of Ta or Nb, e.g. produced by sintering, on which a layer of oxide has been formed by anodic oxidation at 130‹ C. in a bath consisting of a glycol-water mixture containing 5 to 10% water and containing as a conducting salt KH 2 PO 4 , preferably in a concentration to give a phosphate ion concentration of 0À02 to 0À04 mole/Kg. of solution.
