Abstract

1,206,092. A mowing cutter finger. K. MORTL. 5 Feb., 1969 [28 Feb., 1968], No. 6275/69. Heading A1F. A mowing cutter finger comprises an elongate finger member 1, cutting edges 10, 11 above and unitary with the member 1, a tip portion 2 and a lug 9. The finger is made of tempered steel and has a width 4 and height 14 which are less than 15 mm. at the root 5 of the tip portion, and are preferably between 9 and 15 mm. The transition 12 from the member 1 to the lug 9 is rounded and the length of the tip portion may be between 20 and 30 mm. The cutting edges 10, 11 are hardened preferably to between 53 and 63‹ Rockwell.
