Abstract
1,204,384. Knitting. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 6 Sept., 1967 [6 Sept., 1966], No. 40740/67. Heading D1K. A warp knitted velvet fabric has a ground warp and a face warp wherein the threads of the face warp are floated over five or more wales of the ground warp structure and the threads of the face warp are raised and clipped or napped and clipped to produce a velvet or velour effect. The threads may be of a similar or dissimilar nature such as a polyamide, rayon or polyacrylonitrile. The threads may also be of different colour.
